Manchester United manager Ola Gunnar Solskjaer has said the club have plans to extend Edinson Cavani's contract at Old Trafford.
Kabani arrived at the Red Devils only in October with a one-year contract and an option for another year and the 33-year-old Uruguayan's impression in a short time with his teammates makes club members quickly fall in love with him and want him to stay in the team for a long time.
"Right now he seems to have a few good years left to play so I don't have too much to add, his impact on the team is great since he arrived," Solskjaer said.
"He is a professional. His habits and everything related to him show why he has had the career he has had so far. Even at his age he is one of our best players, the Norwegian added.
Kabani has scored four goals in 13 appearances since arriving from PSG and Solskjaer has made it clear that he is not only an option for a substitute but may very well get a place in the first team in tomorrow's game (Tuesday, 22:00) against Wolves.
"He's definitely a good option to start in the squad. He's sure to start more games in the squad than to get off the bench. The first thing he asked me when I spoke to him was if he could wear the number 7 shirt. I had no doubt he could fit into that shirt that says a lot in our club's history. ".
United as mentioned will meet the Wolves tomorrow and then face Aston Villa on New Year's Eve.
Solskjaer used 19 players in games against Everton in the League Cup and league game against Leicester on Saturday.
"It's good for the players to know that they are trusted. Everyone will have to give what they can because the season is very long. We just have to prepare well physically and mentally for every game."
