First scorer in the history of Paris Saint-Germain, Bernard Guignedoux died at the age of 73, the Parisian club announced on Friday.
"We mourn the disappearance this morning of the first scorer in the history of the club, Mr. Bernard Guignedoux," PSG posted on his Twitter account.
"All thoughts of Paris Saint-Germain are with his family and loved ones," said the club.
Midfielder, Bernard Guignedoux evolved as a player at PSG between 1970 and 1972. And on August 23, 1970, it was he who scored the first goal in the history of the Parisian club, which then played in the National championship , anteroom of the first professional division, during a disputed match on the ground of the Poitevin Stadium.

After playing for Paris FC and AS Monaco and then hanging up his boots, he worked as a trainer at the Paris Saint-Germain training center from 1981 to 2003. Bernard Guignedoux was subsequently assistant trainer at RC Strasbourg (2003 -2005) and Valenciennes FC (2005-2009) alongside Antoine Kombouaré.
