On
New Year's Eve, the

in a
form crisis

There is also
a local hero
in Garmisch with
Kilian Märkl
, but it is unlikely that he will jump ahead of the competition like Geiger, given the great competition.
Ski jumping: can Geiger also convince in Garmisch?
First report from December 30th:
Garmisch-Partenkirchen - “As a little boy I stood down at the ski jump and admired the jumpers during the tour.
And now I stand here and win in this stadium ... at home!
It is an indescribable feeling. ”
Karl Geiger
found himself after his victory in the
opening competition
in
Oberstdorf
Emotional words, and rightly so.
But he's not there yet.
"I'm going to be the favorite now," he said confidently shortly after his victory.
His main goal is to become the first German winner of the
Four Hills Tournament
since
Sven Hannawald in
2001/02.
Last year he failed as close as possible and finished third.

Ski jumping: Four Hills Tournament in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in the live ticker - Eisenbichler still in the race
This also includes
Markus Eisenbichler
, who jumped from 27th to 5th place with a huge set in the second round of Oberstdorf.
He also has a chance of overall victory.
For the sake of his mother's love, he doesn't want to make Garmisch so exciting.
“I just try to do two normal, good jumps.
My mother has already written that she almost had a heart attack, ”he revealed.
Immediately after jumping in Oberstdorf, the entire circus had to
undergo
corona tests
again
.
The signs are good that the full field of participants can also be used in Garmisch.
