Outgoing president Jamel Sandjak was elected this Tuesday for the third time at the head of the Paris Ile-de-France football league.

The pass of three.

After two terms (2012-2016 then 2016-2020), Jamel Sandjak (61 years old) was reelected this Tuesday evening as president of the powerful Ligue de Paris Ile-de-France (275,000 licensees), ahead of the lists of Thierry Mercier (ex-president of Val-de-Marne) and Eric Aderdor (ex-president of FC Mantois).

Favorite, Sandjak won the election with 53.68% of the vote, ahead of Thierry Mercier (25.18%) and Eric Aderdor (21.14%).

This former supermarket manager is an emblematic figure, with his brothers, of Noisy-le-Sec (player, trainer then general manager) that he led from the departmental level to the National (R1 today).

Influential figure of the Left Radical Party (national secretary, member of the bureau and departmental president from 1998 to 2002), he was defeated in the municipal elections of Noisy-le-Sec in 2001 (9.87% of the vote) before retiring political life a year later.

Patron of the District of Seine-Saint-Denis in 2008, he then conquered the regional body 4 years later.

In his list “Together the League”, Jamel Sandjak was surrounded in particular by Marie-Christine Terroni, the president of the women's section of Paris FC (D1) and Christine Aubere, president of the Chouettes d'Issy-les-Moulineaux ( D1).

Jamel Sandjak had led his campaign on several axes: continuing work at the regional technical center in Morfondé and increasing offers.

"We want a new source of revenue for the League to take the strain off clubs and districts."

The Ile-de-France boss wants to diversify practices, increase the number of licensees and increase aid to clubs.

"We have already started the mandate with the signing of 3 important agreements with Crédit Mutuel, Generali and PSG, the profits of which will go to the clubs", he assured during his campaign.
