But in times of Corona everything is a little different.
When the
tour
starts for the 69th time on December 28th, the grandstands will be empty.
After it had long been clear that the New Year's competition in Garmisch-Partenkirchen will take place without spectators, the other venues of
Oberstdorf
,
Innsbruck
and
Bischofshofen followed
suit
with their announcements.
Even if fans are
not allowed to follow
the
Four Hills Tournament
directly on site, they can be there
live
when the DSV-Adler around Markus Eisenbichler aim for the overall victory.
It is not yet clear whether Karl Geiger, who was infected with the corona virus in December, can be there.

After 20 years as a
TV expert
, the former German ski jumping ace Dieter Thoma is reorienting himself and will no longer
be seen on
ARD
.
For the first time this year, Matthias Opdenhövel and Sven Hannawald will accompany the Four Hills Tournament.
In 2002 Hannawald became the first ski jumper to win all four competitions of the
Four Hills Tournament
.
Kamil Stoch from Poland and Ryoyu Kobayashi from Japan have also succeeded in this feat.
