Ben Shehar's team, Apoel Nicosia, announced this morning (Wednesday) the departure of Irish coach Mick McCarthy.
The Cypriot luxury team continued its catastrophic season yesterday with a fourth consecutive loss, this time 2: 1 to Doxa - which led to a farewell that has been in the air for a long time.
It is still unclear how this move will affect Ben Shehar, who was recently mentioned as likely to return to Israel.
The striker is in high demand at Hapoel Tel Aviv, but the arrival of a new coach may change plans and he will remain in Nicosia.
Noble Omar was already released from Epoel yesterday and is on his way back to the Premier League, apparently to Maccabi Haifa.

The one who is reportedly expected to take his place the fired Irishman is Sabas Forsaitidis.
The former Cyprus international has coached Naa Salamis for the past three years and is set to return to the team he played for from 2008 until he retired in 2012.
McCarthy coached Epoel in 9 league games, in which she recorded a balance of 3 wins, one draw and 5 losses.
The team that has become the flagship of Cypriot football in recent years, won 7 consecutive championships in 2013-2019 and played in the Champions League, ahead of the red line by only 4 points.
