Will Oded Katash leave Hapoel Jerusalem in favor of Panathinaikos?
Two days after the dismissal of Giorgios Wobaras, the Greek champion decided to try and exhaust a move to bring in the former Israeli star, despite his commitment to the state cup holder.
The first candidate for the position was Dimitris Priptis, but Onyx Kazan and the coach himself made it clear that they would not break the contract between them at this stage.
Sotiris Manolopoulos was the next name on the list, and his candidacy was not dropped from the episode, but it seems that Pao is not being built on for the long term - and the arrival of a coach of his size will convey that this is only a temporary solution for this season.
Naturally, given the fact that Panathinaikos' chances of qualifying for the playoffs in the Euroleague are slim, she is interested in starting the construction of the professional team for next season.

Katsch (46) played only one season for Panathinaikos, but is still considered one of the favorite foreigners in the club's history.
He gained fame when he excelled in a win over Maccabi Tel Aviv Euroleague Final Four of FIBA in 2000. A few weeks later he kept his last game career, when completed with the Greens winning a championship in Greece, and was forced to leave the stage at the age of 25 due to a knee injury.
