In the shadow of the Israeli government's decision to impose a third closure that will apply this time to Israeli sports in general and the basketball industry in particular, the league administration decided tonight (Tuesday to Wednesday) to postpone the two games that were to take place today in the Balkans.
The games between Hapoel Jerusalem and Maccabi Rishon Lezion and between Hapoel Gilboa / Galil and Nahariya were set for Wednesday due to the tight schedule of the teams playing in Europe, despite the fact that Jerusalem and Gilboa played second in the state cup, and now a decision has been made to win the game.
In addition, the game between Hapoel Haifa and Hapoel Tel Aviv was postponed due to a verified patient with the team from Carmel.
The league administration decided to hold the games early next week, instead of the league games being postponed.
Despite the closure, three teams will continue to play: Maccabi Tel Aviv will host no less than three Euroleague games during this period - against Olympiacos next Tuesday, in Asconia two days later and against Real Madrid on Thursday 21 January.
Hapoel Jerusalem will host Turk Telecom Ankara on Wednesday, January 13 for a critical match in the FIBA Champions League, while Hapoel Holon will play an away game in the French Champions League against Shula, on Wednesday, January 20. The
