Atlético Madrid's home game this Saturday in the Spanish Primera División is canceled.
Athletic Bilbao's guests were unable to arrive due to the winter weather.
The airport of the Spanish capital was even closed in the meantime.
In addition, the bad conditions on the streets had also impaired the safety of their own team, the referees and the club employees, Atlético wrote on its website.
The catch-up date should be announced by the league in the coming days.

Atlético threatens to lose the table lead at least for the time being.
Coach Diego Simeone's team are two points - but two games less - ahead of Real Madrid.
The city rivals also struggled to travel to their away game in Pamplona due to the weather, but made it to the city.
Real should compete there on Saturday evening (9 p.m., Dazn) at CA Osasuna.
