By scoring the goal of the break at the end of the game against Sassuolo, Cristiano Ronaldo has just equaled the goalscoring record for top scorer in football history, Josef Bican.
The Portuguese hit the symbolic mark of 759 career goals, which he has just reached in 1,037 matches in official competition.
He only needs a small goal to surpass this new record;
a formality, or almost for the footballer with the five Golden Balls.
The Juventus striker will have the opportunity to take the lead in this ranking next Wednesday, against Genoa, in the Italian Cup.
