"Like a pro": Danny Abdia and the sign that fell on his head in the middle of a trip (@washwizardsil)
Danny Abdia was given tonight (Saturday through Sunday) a rare opportunity to show what he knows in the game against Miami.
In the absence of Russell Westbrook (injured) and Bradley Bill (entered the NBA Corona Protocol and disabled), the Israeli rookie was given much more leeway, providing his best game of his short NBA career, finishing with 20 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists And two abductions in 32 minutes.
Abdia recovered from three weak games in a row, in which he added just 4 points and played less than usual.
Today he regained confidence, and also received compliments from his coach Scott Brooks.
"Danny had some tough games, but it's just part of his adolescence," the coach explained.
"He celebrated his 20th birthday just last week, to remind you ... you have to enjoy the process and the coping. You just have to get better every day that passes, and I'm glad to see that's what happens to Danny."

Brooks added: "I hate to lose, but I'm pleased with the progress our youngsters have made today. We have some players with little experience, and we have a rookie like Danny. He and the others looked better today, they got important experience."
Abdia also received compliments from teammate Robin Lopez, who said: "I really like to see the aggression of a lot of players with us. Danny, Garrison, Mo Wanger. They are tough and know how to make quick decisions, I love it."

The local Washington media were also pleased with Abdia's improved ability.
NBC wrote about the matchup between Abdia and Rocky of the hit Fresh Achsiva, which, like the Israeli, shows sparks of talent so far this season.
"These two Rockies have impressed so far. Tonight they met, and Abdia won a duel. He scored more, made more of an impact and had one impressive move in front of him, when he scored a basket and squeezed an offense out of it. It was a move we've seen too little of Abdia so far. It's pretty fast and he is not afraid of contact when he enters the basket. "
On the Twitter account of the Wizards fan blog, Wiz of Awes, they tweeted at the end: "It's time to release the real Danny. He's ready for it," adding: "It's time for Scott Brooks to stop punching Abdia in the corners because he's getting lost. Danny and Roy Hachimura with the future of this group. "

Washington was also enthusiastic about the threes
And also from the defense
Abdia's highlights in the game came in the final quarter, with three threes in 36 seconds narrowing the gap to just five, with just over a minute on the clock.
One of the threes came after a beautiful step-back when Bam Adbaio, one of the best guards in the NBA, failed to stop the Israeli rookie.
"Danny just scored a beautiful three-pointer in a step-back I did not know he had at Arsenal," wrote Zack Rosen of the Wizards' official website.
