"After riding for 11 years in one group, I agreed to move to a new group and it is a commitment until the end of my career, and maybe I will even stay in Israel Startup Nation beyond that," said Chris Fromm, the Israeli bicycle group's largest acquisition, in an interview during his private training camp. He's in the United States.
"Moving on to a new team gives me the opportunity to open a new chapter and more motivation to continue," said the 35-year-old Fromm, who joins Sun as he recovers from a not-so-minor injury he suffered at the end of last season.
On the project at Startup Nation, he said: "Just as the Sky Group (in which, as mentioned, Fromm has been driving for 11 years) has inspired children and developed the world of cycling in the UK, so we want to copy the success and shape the next generation of riders in the country.
My goals have not changed.
I want to win big races, including the Tour de France.
I hope I will succeed in this and 2021 will be an exciting and successful year. "
