VfB Hallbergmoos: Success has many faces

National league team in retrospect: The footballers of VfB Hallbergmoos were missing just a tiny bit for a perfect 2020 record.

- The state league episode in Corona year 2020 was short, but a really successful one for the footballers of VfB Hallbergmoos.

With five wins and one draw, the team made up the gap from the first phase of the 2019 season in the mammoth round 2019/21.

VfB is currently wintering in second place in the table - and is tied with the first.

The squad has the potential for a big hit - that is, promotion to the Bayern League.

A look back at the game year of performers and hopefuls.

Ferdinand Kozel

One of his rare mistakes prevented the perfect balance in 2020: In the 93rd minute of the top game at TSV Eintracht Karlsfeld (1: 1), the keeper came out of the box a second too late - the league prime took a counter and set the course of the game on the Head.

Without the goal shortly before the final whistle, Hallbergmoos would be the front runner.

Now VfB is level with Karlsfeld - and lost the direct comparison after a 3: 3 at home and 1: 1 away.

Martin Dinkel

As an injury representative, the goalkeeper has played five of his eight previous season games in the 2020 calendar year.

The club extended with him by two years - and at the same time gave the sign that the 20-year-old keeper is the man for the future.

Dennis Hammerl

The captain is the face of success - he was part of the VfB Hallbergmoos squad ten years ago when he was in the district league.

It felt like he got more competition every year - and yet he is still the head of defense today.

The 31-year-old dreams of the end of his career as a Bayernliga player.

Christoph Mömkes

The 24-year-old came back to VfB before the season after a detour to SV Heimstetten.

Mömkes is a highly talented defender and has room for improvement in the rest of the season.

Peter Beierkuhnlein

He is the second major anchor in the triple defense chain.

In Hallbergmoos, as an assistant coach, he is already taking the first step towards a career after his active career.

In the present, however, the 32-year-old is an indispensable driver and a mentality monster with a lot of Bayernliga experience.

Carl Opitz

The 19-year-old came during the current season and could be a direct hit.

VfB discovered the central defender in the U19 Bayern League.

Opitz already had three regional league appearances in 2020 and set an exclamation mark in the 2-1 win against Töging with the winning goal in the 89th minute.

It stands for the philosophy of the association to further develop young and less well-known talents in sport.

Ljeotrim Sekiraqa

If the unlucky person is finally spared from injuries, he could become a perceived king transfer in the hot phase.

Sekiraqa has extraordinary qualities that he has not yet been able to show.

2020 saw a slight upward trend, with four of his five appearances so far in autumn.

He fought his way back in small steps - and then there was lockdown.

Andreas Kostorz

The long-running favorite is the indispensable: Hallbergmoos has played 27 games and Kostorz has been there 27 times.

He has scored six goals this season for VfB Hallbergmoos, three of them from penalties.

Simon Werner

He has now been with VfB for one year and played five of the six games, scored four goals and prepared more between the 2019/20 winter break and the 2020/21 winter break.

Part-time workers of the regional league team SV Heimstetten are always welcome in Hallbergmoos.

Several of today's national league top players (Mömkes, Beierkuhnlein, Giglberger, Krause) came to VfB on this path.

Tobias Krause

The fastest footballer in the VfB squad is indispensable for the wing, the only position that is quantitatively not so well occupied.

However, Tobias Krause still has some room for improvement in terms of effectiveness.

The 24-year-old is also one of x young players who can be made a little better every day.

Kaan Aygun

When the opponents talked about VfB Hallbergmoos at the few games in the pandemic year 2020, they were happy to talk about Kaan Aygün, who turned his hobby in the third Turkish league into a career after his stints at SSV Jahn Regensburg II and FC Ismaning.

The striker completed all six regional league encounters in 2020 and prepared every second goal.

Daniel Bauer

You can slowly develop young talents from lower leagues - or just let them explode: Before moving to Hallbergmoos, Daniel Bauer was active in the district class at TSV Wartenberg and then in the district league at FC Eitting - and now he's a top player in the Landesliga Südost a top team.

With his ten stalls he is number eight in the national league scorer list.

In the last three games before the lockdown break, he met once.

This is how it can go on with the 22-year-old, who is just at the beginning of an exciting career.

Fabian Diranko

The nine-goal striker from VfB was to succeed Ben Held as a goal scorer.

In 2020 he had time to heal his injuries.

In the fall he came to three missions and scored one goal.

Marc Gundel

He's a completely different type of striker.

The 32-year-old had retired to the second team, but came back up in the national league in autumn.

In the VfB team with its filigree footballers, he is something like the breaker who, as a joker in a storm, can sometimes force happiness to be achieved.

He marked his comeback goal in the 2-0 win in Kirchheim.

On July 27, 2016, Gundel last used in the state league, at the time in the dress of TSV Eching.

After all, he has scored 21 national league goals in his career.

Gediminas Sugzda

The VfB coach sometimes seems a bit icy and wraps his rather rare jokes in subordinate clauses - but he is exactly the one who moves the VfB Hallbergmoos team forward.

The coach makes the talents better, positions them in an absolutely fair manner, has professionalized the structures and gives everyone the feeling that they are important.

The 52-year-old is the one who raises the Hallbergmoos project to Bayernliga level.
