The president of Montpellier spoke at length for the Figaro about the project for a new 25,000-seat stadium which should see the light of day in 2024, the club's 50th anniversary.
An enclosure that he considers vital for the club.
“It creates a dynamic within the club, administrators, players, everyone.
It proves that the club has ambition and wants to continue to grow, to perpetuate itself in the top 10 of the French championship.
We are giving ourselves a tool that will allow us, I hope, to continue to cross levels.
In three to four years, I hope it won't be too late.
We may have fallen behind on some clubs.
But we will try to recover it with this new tool.
In any case, it stimulates everyone and it is motivating for the future ”, underlines Laurent Nicollin.
