Manchester United won Tuesday night on Burnley's lawn (0-1), in a late match on the first day of the Premier League.
Thanks to a goal from Paul Pogba (71st), the Mancunian club becomes the only leader of the championship with three points ahead of Liverpool.
This is the first time the Red Devils have regained this rank at this stage of the competition since the departure of Alex Ferguson in 2013. Burnley is 16th with a meeting to catch up.
