The 0: 1 summary of Maccabi Tel Aviv over Maccabi Petah Tikva (Sport 1)
Maccabi Tel Aviv announced the signing of Andre Geralds, who has officially returned for a second term in the team.
The 29-year-old Portuguese defender, who was also wanted by Maccabi Haifa, eventually chose to return to the team with which he won the championship last year and signed for a year and a half after receiving his release from Epoal Nicosia in Cyprus.
Geralds returned to Sporting Lisbon in the summer after his successful loan season at Maccabi Tel Aviv, with whom he was a partner in a smooth championship that almost ended without a loss.
The defender was a candidate for Olympiacos early in the summer, but the Greek champions eventually signed Brazilian Rafinho and he was forced to wait without a team, until he signed for Apoel Nicosia.
In Cyprus he made nine appearances, in the failed season of Epoel alongside alongside Noble Omar and Ben Shehar.

Patrick Van Leven, added: "We are pleased with the conclusion that led to the return of Andre Geralds to Maccabi. Andre has diverse qualities and he adds another dimension to our squad that will strengthen us. We are confident he will be a significant factor in achieving our goals."
