Washington recorded an impressive 107: 128 victory tonight over one of the hottest teams in the league, the Phoenix Suns, who both actually put an end to a streak of three losses and a streak of five home losses to the Wizards.

All this while they are without the injured Russell Westbrook, and in the background there are reports of the unsettled status of coach Scott Brooks, as well as Bradley Bill's dissatisfaction and the possibility that he will seek a trade soon.

Either way, the win seems to have come just in time for the Wizards to come up with an 8: 3 balance thanks to Bill's 34 points, 9 assists and 8 rebounds.

"I think we did a very good job on defense today, tonight was the first time we saved properly," Bill explained of what was the key to a win over Phoenix by Devin Booker and Chris Paul.

Scott Brooks, who heard quite a few rumors about his precarious position on the eve of the game, said at the end: "We were very active, Phoenix missed a few free throws, but I think our attack today also helped our defensive game. "We took good shots that allowed us to go down quickly for defense. Phoenix had almost no bursting points and that's the way we want to play and save."

Brooks also referred to Russell Westbrook's absence this coming week due to injury to the quadriceps muscle: "He was injured in the muscle already in training camp. It bothered him but he played through the pain."

Without Thomas Bryant finishing the season, Washington opened with a five-pointer with Robin Lopez contributing 11 points and 11 rebounds and Moritz Wagner coming off the bench.

"We have options despite Bryant's injury," Brooks said, "for Wagner this is a golden opportunity."

And despite the nice donation they received from the substitutes, ESPN reports that the Wizards are planning to apply to sign another player with a $ 4.2m offense, in light of Bryant's injury.
