Hapoel Beer Sheva's Argentine midfielder Mariano Briero completed his citizenship process today (Tuesday) after receiving approval from the Ministry of the Interior due to the fact that his grandmother is Jewish.
The 25-year-old player, who arrived in Israel on loan from a club from his hometown this summer, will now register as an Israeli and make room for another foreigner in the Southerners' squad when it is no secret that Yossi Aboksis, the team's coach, aims to strengthen the team in the next transfer window.
