Hapoel Gilboa / Galil owner Haim Ohayon denied last night that the team's coach Lior Lubin was released to Panathinaikos and confirmed that he had only received an offer to be Oded Katash's assistant in the Greek team.
According to Ohayon, Lubin has not yet made a final decision and is undecided for both personal and professional reasons, but people close to the coach claimed that the deal was closed and Lubin will join Katsch for the second time in his career.
Gilboa will have to react quickly towards the resumption of Premier League games in less than two weeks.
The club have not yet opened talks with any candidate to replace Lubin as long as his departure is unofficial.
It is estimated that the leading candidate for the network he has been his assistant for the past two years is Guy Kaplan, who also served as Ariel Beit Halachmi's assistant before that.
