Missed 274 days in total due to injuries since summer 2018. Turgeman (Photo: GettyImages)

Polish media report that Turgeman's questionnaire is approaching a return to Wisła Krakow, where he played with great success in the second half of last season.

Turgeman, who is not in Austria Vienna's flooded with economic difficulties, was also mentioned as a candidate for teams in Israel.

According to reports in Poland, the Israeli striker is due to undergo medical tests this week and join the Polish luxury club, which is in very difficult days economically and professionally.

Turgeman has a propensity for injuries and since arriving in Europe in the summer of 2018, he has been absent for a total of 274 days and missed 30 games for his teams.

This is an amazing and worrying statistic, but Wisla is desperate for a striker who will give them productivity and is willing to bet on the Israeli even at the cost of absences from time to time - mainly because it is a very small gamble after playing successfully in the red uniform.

The 29-year-old Turgeman was loaned to Wisla last January, scored in his debut game in the Polish league and then suffered an injury due to which he was absent for many months.

Happily, most of the recovery period was when the league was shut down due to the Corona crisis and he returned from injury at the height of his strength.

Towards the end of the season he scored five goals in four consecutive games and served as a key screw in Wisla’s rescue from relegation to the sub-league.

This season Turgeman again suffered a long injury and he missed nine games in the Austrian league, after returning to Austria Vienna because Wisla could not exercise the purchase option in the summer.

He is a partner in two Bundesliga games and has scored one goal.
