A day after TEAMtalk reported that Abramovich was considering returning the Israeli to a position in the blues, the senior network also followed the same line: "The Russian billionaire believes that Grant's experience can contribute a lot to Lampard and his team."

A day after the TEAMtalk website reported that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is considering returning Avraham Grant to a managerial position at the club, to help coach Frank Lampard get the team out of the crisis, rumors are mounting much stronger today (Tuesday) when The "Sky" network also published the same report.
"The Russian billionaire believes Grant's experience can contribute a lot to Lampard and his team," it read.
"Grant believes his strengths are more as a manager than as a man behind the scenes, so his return to Stamford Bridge may be short-lived."
In 2007, Grant was appointed Chelsea coach in place of Jose Mourinho, who was sacked and led the club to the Champions League final, where he lost to Manchester United in a penalty shootout, when Lampard was considered one of the players closest to the Israeli.
