Bayern Munich was sensationally kicked out in the 2nd round of the DFB Cup.
Munich lost 5-6 on penalties at second division Holstein Kiel.
After 90 and 120 minutes the score was 2-2.
Marc Roca missed the decisive penalty from Munich's point of view, the midfielder failed because of Kiel's goalkeeper Ioannis Gelios, it was the only attempt that did not land in goal.
Holstein's Fin Bartels then converted the last penalty - and let the table third in the second division cheer.
For Bayern it is the earliest cup-out since the 2000/2001 season, when they failed in round two at Magdeburg.
In the past eleven years, the record winner had always reached at least the semi-finals.
