The restart was successful for the EC Peiting.
In the first game after the Corona break, the team in Landsberg achieved a clear success.
At first it didn't look like it.
Peiting - EC Peiting has succeeded in returning to the league game.
In the away game against HC Landsberg, the team that was last thwarted by Corona won 7: 1 (0: 1, 5: 0, 2: 0).
"It was an important win for us after the long break, especially since we didn't have good results before that," said ECP trainer Sebastian Buchwieser.
However, it took the guests some time to get going at the bottom of the table.
In the end, the coach could overlook it.
"Today we finally put in a good performance in front of the opposing goal," said Buchwieser, referring to his team's first four goals.
They came about through ricochets or deflected shots.
The first third was even.
Landsberg was committed, Peiting had a hard time.
"We noticed the long break," said Buchwieser.
Lukas Gohlke had the first high-quality opportunity for the guests after preliminary work by Aziz Ehliz (10th).
At this point the "Riverkings" were leading 1-0;
Hayden Trupp was allowed to drive towards ECP keeper Florian Hechenrieder quite unrestricted and completed it confidently (6th).
Landsberg had several chances with shots that Hechenrieder parried well.
Shortly before the third end, Peiting was close to equalizing: Martin Hlozek (17th) and Fabian Weyrich (18th) failed, as did Ehliz after a 2-to-1 situation (20th) and Nardo Nagtzaam (20th).
EC Peiting dominates from the second third
During the break, ECP trainer Sebastian Buchwieser had apparently found the right words.
Because in the second third, the guests quickly made a lead out of the deficit.
A lack of defensive behavior on the part of the Landsbergers also helped them.
“We weren't there anymore,” said HCL trainer Fabio Carciola.
Both in the 1-1 draw with Lukas Gohlke (23rd) and the 2-1 draw with Ty Morris (24th), the goal scorer was allowed to use the rebound while free.
For veteran Morris - last season the best scorer at the ECP alongside Nagtzaam - it was the first goal of the season.
In the majority, Martin Hlozek increased to 3: 1 (26th) after a violent shot by Martin Mazanec.
Three goals within three minutes - that was noticeably good for the Peiting team.
The ECP continued to dominate the event and now also showed fine moves.
Nagtzaam only narrowly failed in one of these combinations (36th).
Before that, Gohlke and Simon Maier had missed good opportunities.
That was all to be got over, as the guests continued to score: Gohlke and Nagtzaam put on 4: 1 (36th) and 5: 1 (40th).
In between, Maximilian Hüsken still had a huge chance (37th).
In the final third, the Peitinger team confidently took home the victory.
Thomas Heger scored the sixth goal (44th).
Mazanec made it 7-1 with a long shot from distance (55th).
