2021-01-13T08:44:16.123Z

Fan of RC Lens mocked on social networks, the young Thibaut, 20, is now overwhelmed with encouragement.

Used to posting his comments on the meetings of his favorite club, the Racing Club de Lens (Pas-de-Calais), on his YouTube channel and other social networks, Thibaut, 20, posted on January 7 a message from distress on Twitter: “I speak to rude people, to those who don't care when I sing

olé le ho lala

.

I am not like you, I have a disability.

"

Deaf, the young man has a difficult speech which some Internet users laugh at, going so far as to divert his videos to ridicule him.

Particularly touching, his message was seen a million two hundred thousand times in a few hours and generates nearly 35,000 messages of support from anonymous and other supporters of Lens, but also of Lille, Valenciennes, Marseille, Bordeaux, Saint -Etienne, Nîmes, Paris, Lyon and even from Belgium.

Encouragement from his idol Florian Sotoca

But above all, RC Lens themselves immediately support Thibaut.

Several players send him messages of encouragement, including his idol striker Florian Sotoca.

"It's really incredible what I'm going through", enthuses Thibaut, reinvigorated by this tsunami.

Last Saturday, he was invited, with his dad, to hand the ball to the referee during the match against Strasbourg.

Installed on the sidelines, the young supporter was able to see closely all his favorite players "with nuggets in the eyes," he explains.

He is now impatiently awaiting the end of the health crisis to be able to go to the training center, at the invitation of Franck Haise, the coach of RC Lens.
