Sean Weissman was recognized today (Wednesday) for the improvement in his ability in recent weeks when he received the Valladolid Player of the Month Award in December.
The Israeli striker, who has struggled to get into things since being acquired from Wolfsberger this summer but worked his way back into the squad and scored three league goals, was honored after receiving the most votes from the team's fans on social media.
"I'm very happy to receive this award," Weissman said.
"I love helping my team, and we have proven that we are a good team. Now we have important games to show it, and the team is in a good period. We also played well against Valencia, and we did not deserve to lose."
On the assessments that the team will be strengthened by another striker in the current transfer window, Weissman said: "If they decide to bring in someone, I would be happy with the competition I get."
