Gilboa / Galil change of coach - The northern team is expected to announce today (Thursday) the appointment of the team's former player Avishai Gordon as the team's coach in place of Lior Lubin, who is leaving for the position of assistant coach of Oded Katash at Panathinaikos.
The team has refused to address the issue officially, but Gordon may transfer the team's training as early as tomorrow.

Gordon (43) grew up in the youth department of Hapoel Galil Elyon, and also played for Maccabi Rishon Lezion and Hapoel Holon with which he won the championship before moving to Gilboa / Galil in the summer of 2008 and won the national championship with the team as captain in the 2009/10 season.
In the summer of 2012 he returned to the Upper Galilee and played for the team for three years in the second division.
He coached the Upper Galilee women's team for a short time, before receiving the men's team in the summer of 2016 and coaching it for four years, when at its peak he led the team to the playoff finals, where they lost to Maccabi Haifa.

Gordon will get Gilboa in the middle of its peak season.
The Reds are after nine rounds in fourth place in the Premier League table with just seven wins and two losses.
