Bayern Munich are trying to digest the humiliation.
Already in the quarterfinals, the German treble player was eliminated last night (Wednesday) from the cup after a dramatic 6: 5 loss on penalties (after 2: 2 at the end of 120 minutes) against Kiel from the second division.

Coach Enzy Flick did not hide the shock: "We were all not ready for it, we are disappointed, we wanted to defend our treble. We have to overcome it and move on, we have a lot more things to do. We were dominant, but we definitely fell for the little things.
The coach added: "It's annoying because we absorbed the equalizer at the last minute. Now we have to put that loss behind. It's surprising but that's how it is in the cup games. Their goalkeeper just gave an outstanding performance."
Thomas Müller also did not try to whitewash the loss: "There is only one bottom line here - we lost to a team inferior to us. It annoys us all very much. We spoke after absorbing the first goal and I actually felt we started the game well in the first half.
"Our opponent did a very good job but we had to win the game. We were not allowed to be dragged into overtime and penalties. It is a great pity that this happened to us at such an early stage."
