Bnei Herzliya today (Thursday) summed up the terms of the American domestic player Elijah Thomas, who signed about two weeks ago in the Ukrainian Kiev uniform but left the team without playing.
At the same time, the team continues to look for a replacement for Frank Gaines, who left for the Italian Sassari, and after adding a replacement, Sharon Drucker's staff will stand on five foreigners.
Thomas (24, 2.06) played one year at Texas A&M before leaving for Clemson.
He played three years at Kamelzon and was one of the defensive players of the season, scoring 13 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game last season.
After not being selected in the draft, he played in the summer league in the Charlotte uniform and signed in the Korean league but never played in it.
In January 2020 he joined Greek Larissa, managed to play five games before the league was stopped and recorded 6.4 points and 4.2 rebounds per game.
Recently returned to Europe, signed in Kiev, but as mentioned left without playing.

Sharon Drucker's team is improving after a very weak season opener.
Herzliya lost all of its first seven games this season, before being able to beat Maccabi Haifa and Nahariya as it climbs above the red line.
In the last round before the closure, they lost to Hapoel Beer Sheva, a game at the end of which Frank Gaines left for Sassari.
