This day is full of symbolic official announcements.
Not only is Oded Katash introduced as the new coach of Panathinaikos, but also his new ex Hapoel Jerusalem has a coach of her own: the Lithuanian Danius Adomitis.
It will be presented today (Thursday) at 16:00 at a press conference that the Reds will enter.
In Jerusalem, they acted quickly to find a replacement for Katsch, and already at the beginning of the week they reached an agreement with the former coach of the Lithuanian national team, who has worked for the last two years at Lightbus Ritas Vilnius.
Adomitis landed in Israel on the night between Tuesday and Wednesday, and even watched last night from the stands in the arena in the loss of his new team, still with Katsh on the lines, to Turk Telecom Ankara.

Adomitis, who will celebrate his 46th birthday next week, will be the first Lithuanian to coach in Israel.
This will be the second experience of his career abroad, having coached in Poland between 2010 and 2012.
He gained recognition mainly in his days as a player, when he won a bronze medal with the Lithuanian team at the Sydney Olympics and won with Zalgiris Kaunas the Sporta Cup in 1998 and the Euroleague Cup (by FIBA) in 1999.
In October 2016, Adumatis was appointed Lithuanian coach, replacing Jonas The veteran Kazlauskas, however, resigned after failing to make it to the quarter-finals of the European Championship and World Cup. Two years ago he won the only title so far in his coaching career, lifting the Lithuanian Cup with Ritas and his record at the European Championship reaching the Eurocup quarter-finals that season.
Will join
Jerusalem with his
trainee
, Chris Kramer, since
then.Adomitis will not have a long grace period: In less than two weeks he will be with Jerusalem for the closing round of the Champions League, close to a surprise relegation in the first round. Ankara's on Iguoka, and only then will they advance to the last round of 16.
The Lithuanian's debut in Jerusalem will take place this coming Sunday, in a home game against Maccabi Rishon Lezion in the Balkan League.
