British coach Dean Smith was crowned Aston Villa coach of the best coach in the Premier League for the month of December.
The club announced in a statement on its official website that Smith won the award for the first time in his career after leading Aston Villa, who finished in 2020 in fifth place in the league table.
Smith led the Aston Villa team last month in five matches, winning three of them and tied in two, scoring eight goals while conceding only one goal.
It is worth noting that Smith was nominated to win the award for the months of September and October, but he lost it to Ancelotti and Nuno Santo, respectively.
