Idan Oded Katash at Panathinaikos officially started tonight (Friday), with the new coach currently managing his first game in the role - a not-so-simple away game against Fenerbahce in the 20th round of the Euroleague.
Katsch, who was introduced last night and delivered his debut training on the parquet in Ouaka, returned to the continent's top factory for the first time in 13 years, and had to make do without captain Ioannis Papaperto, who injured his knee this week, and without 100 per cent Howard St. Ross.
Pau is without a doubt one of the disappointments of the season so far, with a dismal balance of 12: 6, when in the previous round it managed to break a streak of three losses against Wheelerban.
Fener, on the other hand, started the season disappointingly but recently galloping with four straight wins, with Nando de Colo in record form.
Pau has won the last pair of meetings between the teams.
