FIFA announced today the withdrawal of Oceania champion Auckland City, New Zealand, from the FIFA Club World Cup 2020, to be held during the period from 1 to 11 February.

In a statement on its official website, the federation stated that Auckland City informed FIFA that in light of the Corona pandemic and the quarantine measures required by the New Zealand authorities, the club would not be able to participate in the Club World Cup scheduled in Qatar.

It is noteworthy that the draw to determine direct confrontations will take place on January 19 in Zurich, Switzerland.
