The Austrian won his first World Cup victory on Saturday by winning the slalom at Flachau (Austria) ahead of Frenchman Clément Noël and his compatriot Marco Schwarz.
At the end of a second round disputed under heavy snow, Feller beat Noël 43 / 100th and Schwarz by 70 / 100th.
Thanks to his victory, he took control of the World Cup slalom standings, one point ahead of Schwarz.
Leader of the general classification, Alexis Pinturault made a good operation by finishing 9th.
In the absence of his first two pursuers Aleksander Aamodt Kilde and Marco Odermatt, who did not line up on the slaloms, the Frenchman increased his advantage to 158 units over the Norwegian.
A second slalom is scheduled for Sunday in Flachau.
"I had two good runs, not a lot of faults, clean skiing, I think I can go a little faster."
Clement Christmas
Very close to victory, Clément Noël draws up a positive assessment: “It feels good to be on the podium.
Until then, after all my races I was frustrated and unhappy with my performance, it was overwhelming not to be satisfied with yourself.
I did two good runs, not a lot of faults, clean skiing, I think I can go a little faster.
I had to reassure myself.
It allows me to look to the future more calmly.
I may not have the possibility today to put a commitment as big as Manu (Feller, the winner) in the 2nd round, he is full of confidence (...) It's not easy to start last, yet I won some of the first rounds.
But there I was confident, I had good feelings in the first run, I knew that I could do the same thing even if the track was less easy. "
