A little more than a day after the departure of Ovadia Hatab, Hapoel Hadera announced tonight (Saturday) the signing of stopper Ido Levy.

Khatab took advantage of a clause in his contract that allowed him to leave without compensation in January and he was apparently on his way to Bnei Yehuda, and in Hadera they realized that they had to attach another brake quickly.

Levy, 30, a resident of the city, arrives after a bad half-season at Hapoel Haifa, during which he is a partner in only two games.

He started his career at Maccabi Netanya and played there in the years 2008-2015, during which he left for one loan season at Hapoel Herzliya.

From 2015 until last summer, he wore the Hapoel Raanana uniform, but after it was relegated to the sub-league, he joined Hapoel Haifa and his former coach, Haim Sylves.

Levy was recently notified that he was allowed to sign for another team and the situation in Hadera led him to it.

He is expected to fight with Tal Kahila for a place in the squad, in light of the fact that Jonathan Sisa shows high ability and his place in the 11th seems guaranteed.
