BVB almost had a relaxed afternoon early on the 15th Bundesliga matchday: Erling Haaland had hit the Mainz goal after just two minutes, and the goal was not given due to an offside position by Thomas Meunier in the creation of the goal.

In the 1-1 (0-0) win against relegation-threatened FSV Mainz 05, almost everything went wrong for Borussia Dortmund for a long time.

There was no shortage of chances: Julian Brandt (25th minute) and Marco Reus (27th) forced Robin Zentner to make brilliant saves, the outside post helped when Jude Bellingham shot (32nd).

Before the break, defender Dan-Axel Zagadou had to leave the field injured, Manuel Akanji (45 + 1) replaced the French.

After the break, Levent Öztunali from Mainz scored a dream goal: Öztunali hit a hook inwards from the right, pulled off and hit the top right corner from a good 20 meters.

Youssoufa Moukoko joined Edin Terzic's team after 60 minutes.

The 16-year-old rang in the final offensive and prepared the equalizer indirectly: Near the baseline in the Mainz penalty area, Moukoko captured the ball and played it in the middle, while Meunier shot the failed Mainz attempt at clarification from the back area into the goal (73).

After a foul by Robin Hack on Meunier, Reus had a chance to win with a penalty, but shot past the goal on the left.

Against FC Bayern (1: 2) and Borussia Dortmund (0: 2) the team just lost this season, at home against Leipzig VfL finally provided proof that they can keep up with the top teams in the league.

Wolfsburg consolidates its place in the upper third of the table with the point.

Leipzig missed the temporary jump to the top of the table, with a win against SC Freiburg on Sunday (3:30 p.m.) Bayern Munich could even extend their lead.

Things got off to a bad start for VfL.

In the fourth minute, Nordi Mukiele put the guests in the lead.

After that, Leipzig seemed more stable and also more dangerous.

Suddenly VfL turned on.

After several stops, the ball flew into the penalty area to the free-standing Wout Weghorst and he rarely leaves such situations unused: header, equalizer, eleventh goal of the season for the Dutchman (22nd minute).

That looked surprisingly easy, and RB also did not offer enough resistance in the 1: 2 through a long-range shot by Renato Steffen (35th).

Willi Orban had deflected the ball decisively, after the break he was able to help his team back - he equalized to the final score (54th).

There was no attractive football in the 2-0 (0-0) between Werder Bremen and FC Augsburg, but several controversial scenes in the Augsburg penalty area: First Milos Veljkovic went down in a duel with Rani Khedira (12th), then Reece Oxford kicked his opponent Ömer Toprak on the foot (13th).

Both times, referee Sascha Stegemann decided against a penalty whistle - and that was just as appropriate as ignoring a swallow from Mads Pedersen on the other side (25th).

Without the opportunity to try it from eleven meters, neither team could think of anything.

After the break, Oxford missed the lead after a corner from close range (63rd), while Joshua Sargent failed for the Bremer to Rafal Gikiewicz, who thwarted Bremen's best opportunity with a foot defense (64th).

Later, the advanced Theodor Gebre Selassie took the lead: At the far post, the Czech jumped into a deflected cross from Felix Agu (84th). A little later, Agu scored the final point with his first Bundesliga goal.

The last time they went down 0: 5 in Freiburg, there was no such debacle this time.

However, that was also due to the mediocre opponent Hertha BSC, which recently did not present itself as superior power.

It was the game between tables-16.

and place 12, and it was tough.

Both teams tried to avoid mistakes and to stand safely.

After an hour, Hertha coach Bruno Labbadia brought his top scorer Matheus Cunha back to work.

With the Brazilian Hertha became more offensive, a shot at the post by Matteo Guendouzi remained the most dangerous action (83rd).

The third basement duel of the day did not turn out to be a footballing highlight either.

When TSG Hoffenheim went 0-0 against Arminia Bielefeld, the hosts felt the uncertainty after four defeats in the last five league games.

Munas Dabbur placed the best Hoffenheim opportunity of the first round from a good ten meters goal distance to the center, Ritsu Doan put a free kick just over Hoffenheim goal for the Bielefeld team (38th).

In the second round, the Hoffenheim team were closer to the goal, but had to be content with the draw and remain as table 14.

one place and two points ahead of Arminia.
