"Foutage de mouth", "disaster" and "pathetic": Eyraud furious in front of OM players

The president of the Marseille club violently reframed his players on Sunday morning in training after the calamitous defeat the day before against the red lantern Nîmes (1-2).

Jacques-Henri Eyraud intervenes on rare occasions at the Olympique de Marseille training center to address the players.

But Sunday morning, the club president could not help but take the direction of the Robert-Louis Dreyfus center to shake his team, humiliated Saturday evening by a red lantern (1-2) after a performance deemed "miserable" by André-Villas Boas.

"You were unworthy of wearing the jersey"

According to sources close to the locker room confiding to the

AFP,

the right arm of Frank McCourt spoke before the training of the day.

In cold anger, "JHE" gave a very muscular speech that he had time to think about during the night.

"You were unworthy of wearing the jersey", notably launched the leader evoking "a disaster" and a "big jerk off" after the match porridge proposed by OM taped to 6th place in the Ligue 1 standings (2 matches late).

Target of a demonstration of a hundred supporters demanding his resignation before the arrival of the Crocos in front of the Vélodrome stadium, Eyraud warned the players by reminding them that if the stadium had been full, "10,000 supporters would have been there" to wait for them and that they would have “returned at 3 am” home.

A transfer window that parasitizes the Marseille locker room?

This sudden rise in tension at OM comes in the middle of the transfer window and when many players at the end of their contract (Thauvin, Germain, Amavi ...) are wondering about their future.

André Villas-Boas had recognized that speculation could harm the collective.

“There are end of contracts, players who arrive, others who leave.

Maybe that's what we are paying the price for (...) We are a little worried about the future, ”the Portuguese said on Saturday.

The words of the former coach of FC Porto gave Eyraud the opportunity to put both feet in the face against the workforce.

The president would have invited the players to "stop making films" on their future, especially after having "played like yesterday".

The OM boss then issued a warning: players who reach the end of their contract in June would now have "48 hours to go see the coach or Pablo" and tell them if they intend to "remain professional until the end".

Otherwise, said the leader, they have "13 days to find a club."

High-stakes game against Lens on Wednesday at the Stade Vélodrome

OM, which has won only one match in the last six days of Ligue 1, is not yet in an alarming situation.

The Marseille club has two late matches to play (against Lens, day 9, and Nice, day 11).

Two successes at the Vélodrome could therefore propel the team to the gates of the podium by overtaking Rennes and Monaco.

The reception of the Northerners in a Vélodrome stadium which will still ring hollow on Wednesday will allow OM to see a little more clearly on its ambitions in the league.
