OM, which has won only one match in the last six days of Ligue 1, is not yet in an alarming situation.
The Marseille club has two late matches to play (against Lens, day 9, and Nice, day 11).
Two successes at the Vélodrome could therefore propel the team to the gates of the podium by overtaking Rennes and Monaco.
The reception of the Northerners in a Vélodrome stadium which will still ring hollow on Wednesday will allow OM to see a little more clearly on its ambitions in the league.
