The scene of the game:

after 72 minutes an attacking move was running that appeared to have been taken from another time.

A glorious time in Frankfurt.

Filip Kostic ran along the outside line, crossed into the middle, where Luka Jović hit the left corner with a powerful direct decrease.

Exactly ten minutes earlier, the returnee had been substituted.

Result of the game:

The 3: 1 (1: 1) of Frankfurter Eintracht against FC Schalke was one that did not skimp on highlights and the course of which can be read here in the detailed report.

»Farewell Rundschau«:

Before kick-off, the Frankfurt team thought of a 37-year-old fan with a banner and wreaths.

The trailer with the nickname »Rundschau« died last week.

The first half:

It was game number one after Schalke's number one win of the season, and accordingly the guests started bravely.

This offered Frankfurt numerous opportunities, which resulted in a very justified opening goal by André Silva (27th).

Because Martin Hinteregger and Kevin Trapp relied on each other, Hoppe sprinted in between and scored mercilessly (28th), the Frankfurt upswing was over after one minute and 21 seconds.

Ralf Fährmann saved the flattering Schalke draw after a duel with Erik Durm during the break.

The second half:

It started much less dynamically, but with the decisive moments due to the loan from Luka Jović, who felt extremely comfortable in the black and red care.

Just three days after leaving Real Madrid, 28 minutes in familiar surroundings were enough for him to rekindle old feelings among Eintracht supporters.

The Serb scored his last Bundesliga goal exactly 652 days ago.

Opponent at the time: FC Schalke 04.

Hasta luego, father Abraham:

For captain David Abraham it was the last game in the Bundesliga.

A career in Frankfurt - 179 games in five and a half years - came to a quiet end, which would have been a honorable farewell.

The loss of Abraham hurts the followers, despite their understanding that he is returning home for family reasons to spend more time with his son in Argentina.

After Abraham's last game, in which he performed routinely and suppressed several Schalke counterattacks, tears rolled down.

He exchanged his jersey with Manuel Gräfe, the referee.

The Schalke truth:

Eintracht has not lost a home game this season, FC Schalke have not yet won an away game.

The crisis mode now continues as the bottom of the table because the S04 competitors Mainz (17th) as well as Cologne (16th) and Bielefeld (15th) had scored a point - only Schalke went empty-handed on this matchday.

Almost half of all games are passé, 18 more remain for a renaissance.

Is the Savior Coming?

Klaas-Jan Huntelaar played for Schalke for seven years.

The 37-year-old striker, who joined Schalke in 2010 and scored 126 goals, was missing from Ajax Amsterdam's squad for today's league game.

The signs indicate that he will return to Gelsenkirchen and will soon try to save the club from relegation with his goals.
