Hapoel Kfar Saba tonight (Sunday) recorded its first strengthening in the era of Elisha Levy, when it announced the signing of the Lithuanian midfielder Domantas Shimkus for a season and a half, who comes from the Lithuanian league leader Zalgiris Vilnius.
Several teams in the Premier League have examined the candidacy of the 24-year-old Shimkus in the last two weeks, but decided that he did not meet their requirements, but in Kfar Saba they were actually enthusiastic.
The Lithuanian plays in a position of back-center contact and the one who recommended his joining is the former coach of the team, Raymondas Jutautas, who has a good and long-standing acquaintance with Yitzhak Shom who coached him at Maccabi Haifa and Panathinaikos.
