Ice hockey talent Tim Stützle scored his first goal in the NHL in a spectacular way.
One day after his debut on his 19th birthday, the striker hit the puck coming from the air in the near corner.
The subsequent goal on Saturday (local time) was also the final result of the Ottawa Senators 2: 3 against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Stützle, the best striker of the last U20 World Cup, played a little over 14 minutes.
"The puck was pretty high in the air, and I just wanted to bring it towards the net," said Stützle after his first goal.
"It was a great feeling, but I would like to be out with a win." Because the goal for the 2: 3 against Toronto was also the final result.
The day before, the Senators had won 5-3 on their debut in the world's best ice hockey league.
With Stützle, who previously played for the Mannheimer Adler, the Senators have a young professional in their ranks who fans and those in charge trust a great future.
Not only because of the comparisons with Leon Draisaitl, who was the top scorer and most valuable player in the league last season, he was selected in third place in the draft.
"He's going to be a really good player," said coach DJ Smith.
"That was a damn good goal."
