Hapoel Beer Sheva announced this morning (Sunday) that the process of citizenship of Mariano Briero has been successfully completed and starting with the upcoming game of the Southerners, the player will be considered an Israeli for everything.
Last week, the Argentine midfielder completed his citizenship process.
In recent months, Briero has been working on the issue following the fact that his grandmother is Jewish and last Tuesday, the long-awaited approval was received from the Ministry of the Interior.
The 25-year-old player, who arrived in Israel on loan from a club from his hometown this summer, will now register as an Israeli and make room for another foreigner on the Southerners' staff when it is no secret that Yossi Aboksis, the team's coach, is aiming to strengthen the team.
