The chairman of the football leagues, Erez Kalfon, is holding a marathon of talks with all the officials in the Ministry of Health and with the Prime Minister's Office, and the Minister of Sports, Hili Trooper, in order for the government to approve the return of football games in the two senior leagues.
Tomorrow, as we know, the government will convene to discuss extending the closure until the end of the month, and according to messages received in the last few hours from the administration, the football shutdown may continue, contrary to promises made by the Ministry of Health about two weeks ago.
Senior Israeli football officials say tonight: "In the government they say why football is yes and business is not, but the reality is that football is open and played all over the world even in countries with all kinds of mutations. If football does not return it will be a clinical death for the industry and the ministers' shoulders."
