Striker Alon Turgeman today (Wednesday) signed a two-and-a-half year contract with Hapoel Haifa and he will hold his debut training session in the red-and-black uniform this afternoon. Turgeman was previously featured at the team club in Kiryat Haim with the number 17 shirt with which he played in the last term in which he played for the club and scored 12 league goals and helped it win the state cup.
Turgeman spoke excitedly about returning to the team and thanked owner Yoav Katz for the great efforts he made to bring him back to the club. "I am excited and happy to return. The negotiations were short. Already when I left abroad, Yoav told me that when I returned to Israel I would be at Hapoel Haifa and I am glad it happened. "Now we have a lot of work to do," said the striker, who returned from Austria Vienna.
Turgeman is expected to be included in the squad for the upcoming game against Hapoel Tel Aviv.
