Hapoel Gilboa / Galil advanced tonight (Wednesday) to the next stage in the Balkan league after beating Maccabi Rishon Lezion 78:85 away in the first knockout stage.
The guest from the valley led throughout the game by a gap of around 5-10 points and even when the Oranges approached Avishai Gordon's players did not give up, in their coach's debut, and completed the work.
An unusual figure was recorded in the team of Guy Goodes who scored 10 of 27 shots from the penalty line and finished with 37 percent (!) From that range.
The host suffered from a bad shooting day by guard Trey Lewis, who admittedly finished with 13 points but in bad percentages from all ranges.
