The Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced today the appointment of Bulgarian Ivaylo Petiev to take over the training of the senior national team in a bid to qualify for the 2022 World Cup Finals.

"The Executive Council of the Bosnian Federation has decided to appoint Petiev as coach of the national team in the coming period," Reuters quoted the federation’s vice president, Milorad Sophrenic, as saying. We hope that he will lead us to the next World Cup.

Bosnia is participating in Group D in European World Cup 2022 qualifiers, alongside world champion France, Ukraine, Finland and Kazakhstan.
