The Italian league today (Thursday) officially won the title of best league in the world for 2020 by the International Federation for the History of Football and Statistics and is ahead of the Premier League.
This is the first time in 14 years that Serie A has won this title after dominating the rankings with 10 victories between 1991 and 2006.
There are seven Italian clubs in the top seven clubs in the world, bringing in the league 1026 points for the calendar year that ended three weeks ago.
England and the Premier League came in 2nd place with 1003 points while Brazil is in 3rd place with 964 points, Spain from fourth place and the Bundesliga finished fifth with 864 points.
