Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez, Atletico Madrid striker, has snatched the top scorer in the Spanish Football League from his former Barcelona team-mate Lionel Messi.
Suarez scored two goals for Atletico Madrid to lead them to victory over Eibar 2-1 in the match that brought them together yesterday in the matches of the 19th round of the League.
Suarez raised his score after this double to 11 goals, including only one goal from the penalty spot, to be equal to Messi, who scored two goals from two penalty kicks, and thus the Uruguayan beat the latter by the number of goals scored without penalty kicks, and his team played fewer matches than Barcelona.
