Troyes beat Pau with difficulty (1-0), during the 21st day of Ligue 2 on Saturday, and consolidated its first place in the standings with four points ahead of Clermont, winner of Auxerre earlier in the day (1- 0).
Toulouse, third, could become dolphin again when it travels to Sochaux on Monday.
Troyes, in a bad evening, waited for the late goal of Brandon Domingues (78) against Pau, now last in the championship and who has chained a 6th defeat.
Troyes is now followed in the standings by Clermont.
The Auvergnats ended the invincibility Auxerre, which had lasted for 13 league games (7 wins, 6 draws), and extended theirs to six consecutive home wins.
