The Israeli-American winger, Kenny Saif, is already 27. While many players are reaching their peak around this age, Saif is still looking for himself.

From the 2017/18 season, when he played for Ghent in Belgium, he found the net only three times - in three different teams and in three different leagues, and this season he has yet to find the net.

Saif opened the season in Polish side Belchia Gdansk from which he was loaned to Anderlecht last season, and has so far made 11 league appearances.

In an interview with the Belgian nieuwsblad, Saif spoke about the difficulties, the season in Poland and the future of football.

"There is no doubt that the Belgian league is stronger than the Polish," Saif said.

"In Poland there is less emphasis on tactical work, and more importance is attached to force. In Belgium the teams are much more organized and the level is much higher. I chose to play in Poland because I wanted to play as much as possible. "Footballer, although my stats could have been better. Sometimes you have to take a step back and listen to your body. The last year and a half has not been easy, but now I feel good again and hope to make another career leap."

"I think I grew up and mentally strengthened during my time in Poland," Saif added.

"I took the time to develop and I am convinced that now I am better and stronger. I still dream of getting a chance at a club that strives to succeed in European settings as well."

Saif also referred to the signing of Jonas Melda in Ghent: "I know him very well, he is a great athlete with excellent abilities. Now he will have to show that he is mentally fit."
