Conor McGregor's exciting return to the UFC arena ended tonight (Saturday through Sunday) earlier than expected. The Irish fighter held the ring for just two minutes and 32 seconds, before snatching a knockout from Dustin Fourier.
It all happened during the UFC 257 event, which was held this year at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi. McGregor, who returned to the ring for the first time since January 2020 (then defeated Donald Seroni already in the first round), defeated Fourier in the first battle between the two - somewhere in 2014, but this time failed to compare an opponent to an American.
For the Irishman, this is the third loss in the UFC, having previously also surrendered to Nate Diaz and Habib Normgomedov - the same Normgomedov who may return to retirement to meet with Fourier, according to reports. The American improved his balance to 27-6-1.
