Maccabi Tel Aviv announced the addition of TJ Klein after reaching an agreement with Brescia on compensation for his release. A few days after concluding his terms with the team, the national completed the move to the Israeli champion, who has long been looking for a replacement for Amara Studmeier, who left at the end of last season.
Klein (26, 2.06) has been a Richmond University graduate since 2017. He began his professional career at the Turkish Glatsray, but after less than a season he moved to Hapoel Holon and played for the team for two and a half years. His last season, the 2019/20 season, was the best, averaging 12.9 points and 6.4 rebounds per game and even reaching the Israeli national team. Despite this, he did not return to Israel after the corona break.
This season he signed with the Italian Brescia, and the team suffered from a very weak season opener as it is ranked 15th in the table. Klein played 13 games in the Italian league and recorded 11.6 points and 4.4 rebounds per game. In 9 EuroCup games he recorded 10.4 points and 4.7 rebounds per game.
